six flags new orleans, defunct amusement park

This is a series of images of Six Flags New Orleans.

Located in the Ninth Ward, the park closed down in 2005 on the eve of Hurricane Katrina. Today, the sign outside of the Six still reads, "CL SED FOR STORM." The park is too expensive to rebuild and too expensive to abandon, so it sits and waits for decay to claim it.
